• CMI Level 3 Award in First Line Management and Leadership is a shorter course, covering one module. It's a great choice if you’re looking for an introduction to management.
• CMI Level 3 Certificate in First Line Management and Leadership helps you develop your skills in areas such as change management and decision making, while keeping your studies relatively focused with two modules.
• CMI Level 3 Diploma in First Line Management and Leadership is the most comprehensive Level 3 qualification, with ten module options. It covers a wider range of practical management and leadership skills, including project management, supporting the delivery of customer service, managing data and information, and monitoring quality.

CMI Level 5 qualifications are designed for mid-level managers who usually report to a senior manager or business owner.

CMI Level 5 qualifications are typically equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree or Foundation degree level in the UK education system: 

• CMI Level 5 Certificate is roughly equivalent to the first part of a Bachelor's degree.
• CMI Level 5 Diploma is more comprehensive and could be seen as equivalent to the second year of a Bachelor’s degree.
